The Faculty of Education in Abs was established in 2011. Several deans have led the faculty, beginning with Dr. Ahmed Ahmed Al-Arami, followed by Dr. Abduldaim Al-Maghles, Dr. Radwan Al-Ruba'i, and Dr. Wael Al-Muallami, who was succeeded by the current dean, Dr. Ibrahim Al-Hamzi. When the faculty opened in 2011, it had five departments: Accounting, Banking, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, and Marketing. Two more departments were recently added: Accounting Information Systems and Computer Information Systems. Due to increasing demand and in consideration of community needs, the faculty has expanded by opening a branch in Hajjah, which includes the Accounting and Business Administration departments.
