The department was inaugurated in the academic year 2022/2023 and has become one of the leading and significant departments in the College. It supports the College's vision, mission, and objectives, as well as its modern orientation toward contemporary specialized fields.

To provide quality education and distinguished academic and research programs in the field of cybersecurity, and to provide a suitable educational environment that stimulates creative thinking and scientific research in accordance with quality and academic accreditation standards, serving the community and meeting labor market requirements.

Objectives

The Cybersecurity Department aims to:

• Provide distinguished academic programs in the field of cybersecurity that motivate students and meet labor market requirements.

• Provide an environment suitable for and stimulating to the creative and innovative capabilities of students in the field of cybersecurity.

• Empower students to protect important software, applications, systems, and data from potential digital threats.

• Supply the local and regional community with efficient and qualified cadres capable of managing technical infrastructure and corporate networks to ensure their integrity and maintain their protection.

• Encourage students to conduct scientific research and prepare specialized outputs equipped with scientific knowledge in the field of cybersecurity, directed towards serving the community.
