About the Department
The Department of Industrial Chemistry was established with the very inception of the Faculty of Applied Sciences and is considered one of its leading departments. The graduates of this department are among the most important outputs, supplying the governorate with a distinguished industrial cadre armed with the finest advanced industrial sciences.
The department was inaugurated in the academic year 2013/2014. Its intake capacity was approximately 60 industrial students, who were accepted based on competitive selection within the admission examinations followed by the College's policies.
Currently, two batches have graduated from the department, most of whom are now working in various fields of life within the governorate. Given the vital and industrial importance of this department, and considering the governorate's lack of vital industrial facilities, the department's graduates serve as the cornerstone for establishing industrial cadres from the governorate's own people.
